Who knows where the time goes?

A desert landscape. A train, along the left-hand side of the picture, is rounding a turn; the tracks go off into the middle distance on the right.
Here’s how it starts.

… and what was that about the best-laid plans? A lot has happened in the year and a half since our last entry. Among other things, we missed a whole trip! Naomi, her husband G, and I went to the Netherlands, staying in Leiden and Amsterdam with a side trip to Utrecht. We might be able to make a post or three in retrospect, but don’t count on it.

Meanwhile, changes to WordPress (and my attempts to catch up with them) have done bad things to our layout, and a few features have been lost–hopefully I can get those fixed soon. The blog is faster and easier to maintain, though; we’re looking forward to that.

The big news, though, is that Naomi is going on a trip, with her oldest kid M (and Chance, of course). They’ll be leaving tomorrow to take the train cross-country to New York City, then flying to the Netherlands. They’ll be back on April 17th. The other big news is that the household is planning to move to The Netherlands, which is why the trip is called “Exploring Homes“.

Naomi promises to go back to the blog-as-you-go routine that was so successful on her Africa trip. I’m looking forward to following along. Come join us for another adventure!
